Proration
Splitting a monthly charge based on the actual days used. If a tenant moves in on March 15, they owe 17/31 of the monthly rent for March. On a $1,200/month unit, that is $658.06. Proration applies to rent, utilities, HOA fees, and management fees. Get the math right because tenants will check it.
