Detainer Warrant
The court filing that initiates a formal eviction case in Tennessee. After the notice period expires without resolution, the landlord files a detainer warrant in General Sessions Court. Filing fee is typically $50-$100 depending on the county. The court schedules a hearing, usually within 6-14 days of filing. This is not optional. No detainer warrant means no legal eviction.
