Court Appearance

Showing up in General Sessions Court for the eviction hearing. The landlord or their representative must be present with documentation: the lease, notice served (with proof of service), photos of damage if applicable, and a ledger of unpaid rent. If the landlord does not appear, the case gets dismissed. If the tenant does not appear, the landlord usually gets a default judgment. Come prepared.
