Work Order

A documented request for maintenance or repair work. Includes the issue description, priority level, assigned vendor, estimated cost, and completion status. Every maintenance request should generate a work order with a paper trail. If your PM handles maintenance without work orders, you have no way to verify what was done, what it cost, or whether it was necessary.
