Subletting

When a tenant rents out part or all of their unit to another person. The original tenant remains on the lease and responsible for rent. Most property management leases prohibit subletting without written landlord approval. Unauthorized subletting is a lease violation. If you allow it, make sure the subletter passes the same screening criteria as any other applicant.
