A record of all rent charges, payments, credits, and balances for a specific tenant. The rent ledger shows exactly what was owed, what was paid, when it was paid, and any outstanding balance. This is the document you bring to an eviction hearing. It is also the document the tenant will challenge. Keep it accurate, up to date, and reconciled against actual bank deposits.
