Move-In Inspection

A documented walkthrough of the property's condition before the tenant takes possession. Photos, video, and a written checklist noting every scratch, stain, dent, and appliance condition. Both the tenant and PM should sign the inspection report. This document is your evidence when the tenant moves out. Without it, you have no baseline to prove damage versus normal wear and tear. Skip this and you are writing a check at move-out.
