Licensed Contractor

A contractor who holds a valid state or local license for their trade. In Tennessee, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing work requires licensed professionals. Using unlicensed contractors for licensed trades violates building codes and creates liability if something goes wrong. Insurance may deny a claim if the work was done by an unlicensed person. The savings are not worth the risk.
