General Contractor

A licensed contractor who manages larger construction or renovation projects, coordinating subcontractors for different trades. You need a GC for major rehabs, additions, or any project requiring multiple trades. In Tennessee, contractors must be licensed for projects over $25,000. A good GC keeps the project on budget and on schedule. A bad one does neither. Check references, verify their license, and get everything in writing.
